Holi Festival in Barcelona 2014
Thursday, 04 of September of 2014
HOLI Festival or the Festival of Colours is inspired by the Indian Holi Fest, also known as a festival of love. Originally, the HOLI Festival takes place on the full moon of the Phaluga month, so at the beginning of the spring. During that day people paint themselves with various colours and throw colourful powder in the air to celebrate the victory of the good over the bad.
Although, the Holi Festival in Barcelona is not a religious event, it gathers people together for the same reason: to show the colours of life and express happiness and freedom. During that day everybody is supposed to be equal as the concept of the event is to bring people together and promote equality and tolerance.
This year the festival takes place on the 13 of September at 12pm on Plaça de l'Univers – Fira de Barcelona.
On that day you will enjoy the best soundtracks of Catz ‘N Dogz, Pig&Dan, Silicone Soul, Javi Bora, Funk D’Void and Javier Orduña.
