Shiny nights in Bling Bling

My first night out in Barcelona was absolutely insane, to say the least. Not that I remember TOO much of it but what I do remember is having one of the best nights of my life. During the day in the office, our bosses let us know that Bling Bling Barcelona was the place to be tonight and who are we to argue with the people who basically run all of Barcelona’s nightlife. 

The night began at Provença where another one of YouBarcelona’s interns has an apartment. A huge group of us met up at her apartment to “pregame the pregame”. While some of us were taking tequila shots, others were using their handy dandy funnel to chug their not so classy wine! The girls began their photo shoot and the guys were left to drink their beer and do what they do best, WAIT!

We began walking over to Bling Bling Barcelona where the one and only, Isaac received us! He stamped each one of us to guarantee us free entry through his guest list and we then continued the night at The A Bar. Some of us continued drinking while others were playing catch up since they did not pregame hard enough. The bar was downstairs and while the space itself was not too large, the comfortable seating and lounge area created the perfect atmosphere. The bartenders made sure the take great care of us regardless of the language barrier.  Their great communication skills made us foreigners feel a lot more comfortable when ordering drinks and yes, of course, they did get the generous tip they deserved!

 Soon enough, it was 2 A.M. and once again we met up with Isaac in order to enter Bling Bling. Isaac was nothing but courteous when receiving us, as he knew we were not sure what to expect on our first night out. With the help of Isaac, each one of us got into Bling Bling Barcelona with absolutely no problems. As we entered the club, each of our minds was blown away. The gold microcrystals decorated the walls and the sloping ceiling recreated the aesthetics of the nightclub to successfully accompany the name, Bling Bling. Each corner of the club was filled with intricate details, which was highlighted by the shining illumination of the large jewels. 

 As if that wasn’t enough, Isaac went out of his way to find my friends and me to take us to the VIP area. Not only did we get into the club with no problems for free, now we were being taken care of in the best part of the club. The VIP area had sofas and a lounge with two cocktail bars that out looked the entire dance floor. While we were enjoying the complimentary drinks, in the corner of our eyes we notice fireworks. The VIP area of Bling Bling Barcelona provided us with the best bottle service along with the other groups of girls who were celebrating their birthdays. This was only the beginning to such a great night.

We continued to enjoy our exotic cocktails until we decided to move on to the dance floor. We danced the night away to electronic dance music, commercial house, hip-hop music and party anthems. The flashing lights only created a more upbeat vibe and the beautiful Spanish men gave us something pretty to look at. 

As you can tell, our first night out in Barcelona went way beyond our expectations. Throughout the night, as busy as Isaac was, he made sure that we were having a phenomenal time.  His attentive behavior made the girls and I feel a lot more comfortable in a completely foreign environment. We were having fun and most importantly we felt safe.Thank you, YouBarcelona and Isaac for taking such good care of us. This might have been our first night out but definitely not our last.
